A Rose 🌹 once grew where all could see , shelter beside a garden wall , And as the days passed swiftly by , it spread its branches, straight & tall. One day a beam of light shone thru a crevice that had opened wide , The Rose 🌹 bent gently towards its warmth then passed beyond to the other side. Now you who care deeply feel its loss, be comforted-the Rose 🌹 blooms there- it’s beauty even greater now, nurturing in Gods own loving care .. Aunty Lorne forever the most gracious lady to all 🙏💕

What a beautiful farewell to Aunty Lorne. Her eulogy was so touching and brought back so many memories, especially the cockatoo who’d dob us in every time we tried to sneak into the pool! Such precious memories to cherish forever. Rest easy, Aunty Lorne 💔❤️

You were the second mother to me, allowing me to spend my school holidays with you both, was the highlight of my youth. Those times and memories I will never forget, as I’ll never forget you and uncle Mick. Rest easy now and laugh again with him.

Thinking of you all and sending love. Lorne wasn’t only our neighbour, but a pseudo aunt, who we loved to visit for bickies and cupcakes. She and Mick were a beautiful example of a loving couple, respectful of one another and a willingness to compromise. I’ll miss her, but I’m so happy that she is reunited with her love 💕
